Greedy coworker
I have a coworker that eats everything all the time. Whenever they bring us lunch he is the first in line and stacks his plate with no regard. Before he started we had a snack drawer with snacks we bought and stated it was open to everyone who forgot to bring lunch as long as they contributed to the snack drawer but he would eat all of our snacks and never replace them. This has gotten so out of hand that we started to put our snacks in our own private drawers but other coworkers have let us know that they have caught him taking snacks out of our drawers on days where we weren’t there. Whenever we order lunch he always asks if we can pay for him and he will pay us back on pay day but he never does. I feel bad for him but he does bring himself a lunch daily, he also comes in with breakfast. It’s become such an issue that we don’t even keep snacks in the office anymore. We want to bring it up to our managers but it seems like such a non issue that we aren’t sure what to do, what should we do?
Edit: the greediness isn’t even the biggest problem with him, he smells so bad.

We had a coworker like that. When the company would spring for pizza, he would get a plate and stack it so high we would ask him if he needed sideboards for it. A few of us would ask him to go easy so that everyone got their choice the first time through the line. He would always say they had the same chance to get in the front of the line.
He was a crappy worker. Would pencil‑whip paperwork often. When called out on it, the supervisor would make him go back and do it while watching him complete a job.
He was later fired when he came in reeking of weed. Our job is federally regulated. Drug and alcohol testing can be done at the supervisor’s discretion. Popped hot for weed. Given a chance to clean up. 3 months later popped hot for weed again. Fired.
A coworker came in one night and said he and his wife ordered pizza one night and the fired coworker was the driver. Went from a $40/hr job with great benefits to delivering pizza. -
Hey, I need to know if your coworker got their entire pizza order, or if fired guy snoffed THAT pizza too?

Worked with a guy who came to pub with a large group of coworkers on Friday nights. When the bill arrived to the table he’d collect cash from us and said he’d pay with his credit card. Did not think anything of it.
We noticed the service got worse by the week for a few months reaching the point of hostility. Finally we asked José, our regular server, if we had done something to upset him. Turns out the coworker had not been tipping, pooling our tips to cover his drinks and food, and pocketing the rest.
We felt awful! We did a rough calculation and made him pay José $350 tip to make up for this if he wanted to keep coming to pub nights, plus we threw in more too. Once he had paid José we immediately told him he wasn’t welcome to join us any more. Cried like a hurt kid. No one cared. Cheap ass unethical MF. -
Oh man this same situation happened to me with a crowd of friends on holiday, that one guy kept insisting to bring the cash at restaurants, I was the only one to figure it out.

Start calling him on it. Start storing things in locked drawers. Stop covering his lunches. Send him pay app requests for the money he already owes and if he doesn't pay it back or gives attitude, report it to HR. Stop coddling this dude. He’s taking advantage because you let him.
TL;DR: Lock your snacks, keep your coworkers at arm’s length, or they’ll become a walking snack buffet.
